Hollister climbs the bluff above Lake Taneycomo across from Branson. Driveways climb and back yards fall away. A lot of these houses have more slope than lawn. Hardscaping here is mostly the business of making level ground where the hill did not leave any.

One tall wall is often the wrong answer on that grade. Two or three shorter walls stepping down the hill carry the same soil with less load on each, and what you get back is usable terraces. Drainage matters more here than on flat ground, because the water is coming down that hill either way.
